Happy Halloween 2009

Chris's mom made Charlie a turtle costume this year for Halloween. She lives 3 and a half hours away so we did a couple emails back and forth asking for measurements.

Then Chris's mom and dad came up to visit on Halloween and stayed one night. My parents also came over to see Charlie in his costume.

If it wouldn't have been so close to bedtime, I think we would have gotten more smiles out of him.

We didn't take him trick-or-treating but he enjoyed standing at the door while all the trick-or-treaters came to our house.

Samantha over at MamaNotes is giving away a Ergobaby carrier. It's perfect timing because just the past few weeks I've become more in love with the idea of having one. I really love my Mei Tei for trips into the store and pretty much anywhere. I think the advantages the Ergobaby carrier has over the Mei Tei are that it won't touch the ground when I'm putting it on in a wet parking lot, it is easier to adjust when I need to nurse in it and it has a cover for the baby's head for support and privacy when nursing, amoung others.

Pumpkin Patch

Charlie - 8 months

Charlie is 8 months now! He's still army crawling everywhere.

Just within the last couple of days he has starting getting on his hands and knees a lot. He is very close to pulling up to stand. He has 6 teeth!

Charlie - 7 months

Charlie is getting harder and harder to take pictures of and wasn't very cooperative during the photo shoot. He weighed 18 lbs. 14.6 oz on 9/10. He is wearing mostly 12 month clothes because he is so long.

In the past few weeks he has perfected sitting up on his own and getting down from a sitting position without falling on his face (most of the time.) He hasn't gotten into a sitting position on his own yet.

He is army crawling and rolling all over.

We are starting to really baby proof the house! We have been teaching him sign language and we think he does/knows the signs for milk and dog. He has two bottom teeth and is eating baby food twice a day. Bath time is still his favorite time of the day.

Bones

Chris's nickname all through junior high, high school, and college was "Bones" because he is so tall (6'4") and skinny. Recently we watched all four season of Bones rented from Netflix and Charlie really loves the intro.
